Dr. Debbie Hadlock graduated with her VMD (Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris) from the University of Pennsylvania in 1980.  Upon graduation, she completed a small animal internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City before moving on to join Gramercy Park Animal Clinic.  In 1986, her career took her to the team of Dr. Larry Tilley at Cardiopet, serving as a cardiology consultant, and eventually to Idexx where she was a senior staff cardiology consultant from 1995 – 2012. 

Dr. Hadlock’s interest in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine led to her becoming certified in TCVM acupuncture in 2000.  Over the next several years, she expanded her knowledge in TCVM becoming trained in Tui Na and TCVM herbology at the Chi Institute and completing her chiropractic training (Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy) at the Healing Oasis in Wisconsin. 

In 2008, Dr. Deb made the move to Utah to join an integrative medicine practice for horses, dogs, and cats while continuing to lecture around the world at conferences and contribute articles for various distinguished animal medical journals.  She has also had the honor to be a part of the Iditarod Veterinary team, the world renowned 1000-mile sled dog race in Alaska, for seven races.

In November 2023 Dr Debbie was invited to speak at the 25th International TCVM ( Traditional Chinese Medicine ) Conference in Bali, Indonesia. The general topic was Neurology and Pain. Her presentation was Cervical Hyperaesthesia: The Great Masquerader.

She was presented with the Excellent Speaker Award!

In her free time, she enjoys the company of her own animal friends as well as cycling, speed skating, equestrian endeavors, skiing, hiking and playing her piano.
